The College Intern Experience - Info Session with Easter Seals Crossroads
Come learn about a new program that Easter Seals Crossroads is launching; The College Intern Experience.
They are partnering with six local colleges in hopes of targeting students who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and assisting these students with internship placements within their majors. The colleges that we are working with are Ball State, Purdue University, IUPUI, University of Indianapolis and Ivy Tech, Indiana University and U of Indy.
We are working with the Disability Offices and Career Services of each college to help generate a pool of qualified students with ASD. Next, we are looking to partner with various employers who may want to host one of our students with an internship.
The College Intern Experience is a great program that offers each student a stipend for completing the internship, approval for college credit, and additional support with resume writing, interview skills and on-site support during the duration of the internship. If you are a student with ASD and would like help with internship placement Easter Seals Crossroads would love the chance to meet with you.
We will host an information session on April 6th from 10am to noon in the library UL1126 or please feel free to email them with any questions that you might have about the College Intern Experience program and if you’re interested they can get you signed up!
