ET Regatta Lunch and 9th Annual IUPUI Regatta
The School of Engineering and Technology invites you to a lunch planned solely for our alumni and incoming students to celebrate the School’s continued success and growth and to cheer on our E&T teams competing in this year’s exciting canoe race on the canal. Students will have an opportunity to meet E&T faculty and staff members. Registration is required. We look forward to seeing you there!
Cheer on the student, alumni and faculty run teams with the School of Engineering and Technology!
IUPUI and the Student Organization for Alumni Relations (SOAR) plans IUPUI Regatta on the Downtown Indianapolis canal each year in late September. Established in 2009, the IUPUI Regatta has quickly become a signature event for the IUPUI campus. The purpose of the event is to create a high-energy campus tradition that involves both the campus and Indianapolis community while benefiting an IUPUI student scholarship.
The IUPUI Regatta consists of a half-mile canoe relay competition involving teams of up to six IUPUI students, faculty/staff, and alumni beginning at Fairbanks Hall at the north end of the canal, traveling down to the USS Indianapolis basin, and then back to complete the half mile leg. The Regatta also has exciting events designed to entertain children of all ages — clowns, face painters, and live entertainment from Indianapolis area bands make this festive event a can’t miss experience.
The IUPUI Regatta leadership structure is unique in that it relies on students and alumni to plan and implement the various events, including those leading up to race day.
